Calgary, Alberta (July 26, 2021): Exergy Solutions Inc. (“Exergy” or “the Company”) announced the appointment of Fiona Harris as Chief Operating Officer.

“Fiona has a proven 21-year track record of delivering growth in professional services companies.  Throughout her career, Fiona has been leading and developing customer relationships, and ensuring delivery of results in a variety of industries. She is a highly collaborative and strategic leader with an extensive global network, and we’re so pleased she’ll be joining our team,” says Billy Rideout, Exergy’s President. 

Fiona has extensive experience providing direction and management for the development and deployment of technology and digital solutions in the energy sector. Since 2014, Fiona has held executive-level positions at both Jacobs and Worley, and for the last two years has provided business consulting services for several Alberta-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies. 

Exergy has experienced extensive growth over the last five years, expanding its staff six-fold and opening a lab at the Life Sciences Innovation Hub at the University of Calgary. The Company is currently focused on several projects aimed at lowering carbon emissions in the energy sector, including working on pre-production development of Hydrochemolytic™ technology in collaboration with Aduro Clean Technologies and a collaboration with Suncor Energy and several other partners to reduce the need for water in bitumen extraction from mining operations or Non-Aqueous Extraction.
