    Mike MacSween

    Mike is a passionate and thoughtful leader that brings over 30 years of energy sector experience, primarily at Suncor, where he served in multiple executive leadership positions. During his time at Suncor, Mike held leadership positions that oversaw operations in the Upstream, strategy and development, as well as the engineering, procurement, and construction activities for all of Suncor’s Major Projects. Mike also sits on multiple boards including for CWB Group, Aqua Solutions Inc., and the McKay Métis Group. He is also on the Board of Advisors for Aurora Hydrogen and acts as a Senior Advisor with the Boston Consulting Group. Mike holds a BSc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA from Queen’s University.

    Brad Holub

    Brad, an Operational/Engineering executive with over 30 years of experience, embodies adaptability and expertise. Brad's journey at Exergy began in 2022 as a business consultant within our team, later transitioning to the role of COO, and eventually ascending to the position of President. Throughout his career, Brad has adeptly managed a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from modest operational upgrades to colossal capital endeavors exceeding USD$500 million. His operational prowess extends across various organizations, with a breadth of experience that spans the globe, predominantly international in nature. Brad's multifaceted expertise encompasses financial acumen and technical proficiency in diverse disciplines, including facilities engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering, production engineering, geosciences, and IT.

    Tony Bessey

    Tony and Exergy share common ground as disruptors of conventionality, unafraid to embrace forward-thinking strategies. Tony's belief in success through mentorship, particularly in the face of emerging opportunities, aligns with Exergy's ethos. With over two decades of experience in delivering intricate oil and gas transformations across North America, Tony's journey began at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He subsequently led the corporate integration of Albian into Royal Dutch Shell's portfolio. In his role as a Business Process Excellence leader, he orchestrated a succession of large-scale digital transformations. After 12 years with Shell, Tony established a consulting practice that culminated in an eight-year strategic partnership with Suncor. During this period, Tony not only oversaw the technology implementation for the Fort Hills Oilsands project but also empowered high-performing teams to deliver substantial value during the Suncor Syncrude integration. Tony's contributions extended to his five-year service on the Board of the Shell Employee's Credit Union, supporting its rebranding as the Spark Credit Union.

    Jayce Loh

    Jayce joined Exergy in July 2024, where he is responsible for shaping, developing, and implementing the company’s Business Development Strategy. With over 15 years of experience in sales within the energy industry, Jayce brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His career includes significant leadership positions at Jacobs, Wood, and Worley, where he excelled in building and nurturing strong professional relationships. Jayce’s success is driven by his deep understanding of the industry and his strategic approach to business development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary, reflecting his solid technical foundation and strategic acumen. At Exergy, Jayce is poised to leverage his extensive background and skills to drive growth and create new opportunities for the company.

    Nermine Sorial

    Focused on advancing the energy industry's transition goals, Nermine leads Exergy's Innovation Advisory team. She brings analytical rigor and insightful perspective, enabling clients to discern and act on opportunities for sustainable growth in a low carbon economy. Nermine’s hands-on leadership and pragmatic solutions-focused approach draws on a career spanning manufacturing, resource extraction, and the utilities sectors. Leveraging more than 20 years of experience in developing complex industrial applications and energy systems, Nermine's multidisciplinary expertise in project execution empowers Exergy's clients to uncover optimal solutions and realize timely progress. Nermine holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, MEng in Mechatronics, and MSc in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary, and is a professional member of APEGA.

    Tanner Ball

    Driven by a passion for improving the energy industry's performance and environmental impact, Tanner adeptly leads Exergy's lab and field pilots from inception through construction and implementation. With 15 years of experience in mining, extraction, upgrading, tailings, and in-situ operations, Tanner directs his focus toward research and development initiatives aimed at refining processes and products that drive industry prosperity. Before joining Exergy in 2018, Tanner played a pivotal role in supporting project and technology development at Suncor Energy. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from Carleton University, Tanner proudly upholds membership in APEGA.

    Kerri McGrath

    With over 15 years of experience in senior roles spanning diverse corporate landscapes, Kerri brings forth a wealth of expertise spanning commercial real estate, industrial services, oil and gas, and the cherished realm of clean technology. Thrilled to contribute her entrepreneurial spirit to the Exergy team, Kerri, formerly occupying the role of a technology development steward, appreciates firsthand the pivotal role played by Exergy's comprehensive service offerings for both new technology developers and the industry at large. Armed with a robust business acumen and a knack for navigating intricate transactions, Kerri has earned recognition for her charitable initiatives and contributions to the clean technology sector. Notable accolades include being honored as the 2018 Business in Calgary Leader and part of the Top 40 Under 40, Class of 2019. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Heavy Oil Association (CHOA), a testament to her ongoing dedication to industry advancement.

    Cassidy Silbernagel

    Cassidy Silbernagel is the Head of AM Engineering at Exergy Solutions, where he spearheads the expansion of 3D printing across diverse industries in Alberta and Canada. Since joining Exergy in 2020, Cassidy has leveraged his extensive 13-year background in additive manufacturing and design engineering to foster innovative applications and educational initiatives in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM). His efforts include pioneering advanced metal 3D printing techniques for electric motors, which have set new benchmarks in efficiency and performance. Passionate about integrating design, machine learning, and 3D printing, Cassidy actively develops transformative projects that propel industry standards forward. Cassidy is a professional member of APEGA with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of Calgary as well as a PhD from the University of Nottingham. Cassidy's vision is to position Exergy at the forefront of global additive manufacturing innovation.

    Marianna Trujillo

    Often described as a collaborative innovation catalyst, Marianna serves as the Business Development Manager for Exergy's Innovation Advisory Team. Throughout her career, Marianna has been dedicated to the innovation ecosystem, committing herself to helping clients develop decarbonization strategies, advance technology de-risking, accelerate innovations’ path to deployment, and explore the art of the possible in search of real solutions to our planet's most pressing challenges. Her track record includes the establishment of trusted partnerships with academia, innovators, government entities, and major corporations, spearheading multi-million-dollar projects spanning various Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). Driven by curiosity and an unwavering commitment to lifelong learning, Marianna played a pivotal role in driving groundbreaking clean tech innovation while serving as Technology Development Lead for one of Canada's largest integrated energy companies. Marianna holds a Bachelor of Chemistry, uniquely combined with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Calgary.
